It is to be recalled that the Addis Ababa City Council held a regular meeting yesterday and decided on an alternative solution to solve the housing problem.
She said the residents who were registered with the 20/80 and 40/60 programs will be able to build a condominium without lease-free land.
She said the city administration will give priority to the residents who are registered for the 20/80 and 40/60 programs in 2005 EC, which is a solution provided by the city administration to alleviate the housing shortage.
The construction of the houses by the association will be carried out in the center of the city and the city administration will provide all the necessary design and technical support, she said, adding that the housing development program started in 20/80 and 40/60 will continue.
She called on residents who are registered to benefit from condominiums to continue their savings until they are registered with the association.
