The court closed Lidetu Ayalew’s file and ordered him to apply for bail
The Bishoftu werda City Court closed the case by rejecting an extension of time for the investigating police to prosecute Lidetu.
Police said he had completed an investigation on lidetu ayalew’s file and asked the court for an additional 14 days to file charges, but the court rejected the police request.
The court ruled that the police investigation was closed and ordered Lidetu Ayalew to file another bail application.
Lidetu Ayalew, who appeared in Bishoftu werda District Court for the fourth time, said: “The court must take into account my health condition. I was not treated in the distance, and at the same time, 50 inmates use the same toilet, which is dangerous to my health. ‘
“The police investigation so far has not yielded any new results, the alleged accomplices have not been arrested and my witnesses have not been produced,” he said.
Police said their investigations so far included text messages in their possession as well as the results of the transitional government documents in their possession.
The court ruled that “your case has been investigated and that your application under Article 59: 1 and 2 of the Code of Criminal Procedure is invalid.
However, Lidetu Ayalew, who was represented by two lawyers today, said he could file a bail application in a closed case rather than a closed one, according to the FBC.
