Former Addis Ababa Deputy Mayor Takele Uma responded on recent complaint of land grabbing by Ezema

It is possible to destroy a country with false information, but can’t not be built!
Although I am not in the right place to respond to this, I feel that it is a great pain to be unable to break free from this political thinking.
We have been taking strong action from the first day until the last day.
The steps we have taken at various times are also living witnesses.
When we took action to prevent illegal land grabbing, today’s critics were among those who campaigned for human rights and the displacement of citizens.
In the case of condominium houses for 20,000 farmers, it was decided by a cabinet a year and a half ago.
It was not carried out in secret but was made public by the state media.
Of the 67,000 households who have been evicted from their land and placed on their own land, they are at least 20,000 condominiums.
No other home has been illegally provided.
This is not something to be ashamed of, as we often say in public. We are proud of the reparations of the oppressed, displaced farmers!
We did not want it to be a city that was in conflict with the people around it, but a city that lived in love with the farmers around it. We realize that this is in the interest of the city’s residents.
It is unfortunate to see a group that has never shown concern for the displaced farmers ever used the harm of farmers today to gain acceptance.
Judgment is for the people, for our work speaks for itself, even if we try to tarnish our own efforts with false information!
