The Ethiopian Media Professionals Association has called on the government to provide immediate justice to journalists arrested in connection with the assassination of artist Hachalu Hundesa.
The association condemned the recent incursion into Wolayita by security forces into the Wogeta community radio station, calling it an “unacceptable practice.”
It called on the media to ensure that the situation does not escalate and that media freedom is guaranteed.
