Addis Ababa City Administration Deputy Mayor Adanech Abebe has expressed condolences to the victims of the fire that broke out in Bole Sub-City Woreda 8 CMC Alitad Michael.
Eighteen shops, 11 warehouses and a bar and restaurant, valued at 12 million birr, were damaged in the blaze, which started at 6:30 p.m.
Deputy Mayor, Adanech Abebe, said she was happy that there were no casualities of the residents though the property was damaged but assured that the city administration would provide the necessary support to rehabilitate the victims.
Addis Ababa City Fire and Disaster Risk Management Commission Public Relations Team Leader, Gulilat Getaneh, said the fire and disaster risk management commission, federal police, Addis Ababa police and the local community have controlled the fire in collaboration with Addis Ababa City. According to information obtained by the addis Ababa Press Secretariat.
Addis Ababa City Fire and Disaster Risk Management Commission Public Relations Team Leader, Gulilat Getaneh, said 48 million properties have been saved.
